Youth Ministry
Practicum focuses on developing several skills to prepare the student for ministry with teenager 6th-12th grade.
EVERY STUDENT GRADUATING FROM THE YTH PRACTICUM WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Communication Skills
Learn the skill of public communication in large-scale and small-scale formats.
Service Production
Become proficient in different service production elements. Ex: Lights, Pro presenter, Cameras, mics, and screen switchers
Service Planning and Execution
Learn how to plan, organize, and execute services for both Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Practicum students will have the opportunity to serve on a variety of teams such as production, worship, greeters, check-in, connections, next steps, and social media.
Outreach and Events
Play key roles in planning, organizing, and executing large youth outreach events.
Discipling the Next Generation
Leading, discipline, and developing middle school and high school students
Curriculum Development
Proficiency in writing and developing curriculum. Ex: Message series and Small Groups
Budgeting and Reporting
Create and operate ministry and events budget, monthly and annual metrics, projections, and goal setting
